The winners of the Tiramisù World Cup 2023 🥇

Patricia Guerra from Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Mario De Santis from Quarto d’Altino are the 2023 Champions of the Tiramisù World Cup – Treviso and Coffee. After the two days of Selections, the Finals on Sunday afternoon saw the finalists overcome the competition of 240 competitors from all over the world.

The 7th edition of the Tiramisù World Cup has come to an end. The winners were: Patricia Guerra from São Paulo (Brazil), a 48-year-old lawyer by profession, for the original recipe and Mario De Santis from Quarto d’Altino, an employee of a fire-fighting company), aged 41, for the creative recipe with Tiramisù ‘Dalì’ with cinnamon, dark chocolate and quince jam.

Stefano Storti (civil servant) from Ferrara, Elisabetta Zanette (legal clerk) from Treviso and Cielo Fitipaldi (student) from Montevideo (Uruguay) also made it to the finals for the original recipe.

For the creative recipe, the finalists were Vanessa Orso (administrative clerk) from Vicenza with a Tiramisu with basil, lemon, orange chocolate and almonds; Fabio Dall’Acqua (painting worker) from Conegliano with a Tiramisu ‘Strudel’) with cinnamon, pine nuts, icing cane sugar, millefeuille Matilde Vicenzi.

After the two days of Selections, overcoming the 240 competitors in the competition, the two Champions triumphed, winning the favour of a jury composed, among others, of Laura Forti of “La Cucina Italiana” (President of the Jury), James Hoffmann (author and youtuber), Alberto Grandi (lecturer in Food History), Andrea d’Angelo (Strega CEO), Manuel Gobbo (chef at Le Beccherie restaurant), Dania Sartorato (president of Fipe and Confcommercio Unione provinciale Treviso), Massimo Linguanotto (son of Roberto ‘Loli’ Linguanotto, noble father of Treviso Tiramisù), Giuseppe Salvador (TWC 2022 Champion for the original recipe) and Marina Summa (TWC 2022 Champion for the creative recipe).

“Tiramisù is increasingly becoming a Made in Italy product in the world and we are proud to have participants from every nation with us,” said Francesco Redi, founder and organiser of the Tiramisù World Cup. We record another record-breaking edition, with lots of enthusiasm from the competitors and great public participation. I am also really happy that the title of Champion went to a representative from abroad for the first time’.

Among the other awards presented

La Cucina Italiana Award, assigned to Vanessa Orso, finalist in the creative category;

De’ Longhi Award, awarded to Nadia Ceoldo for the best use of the Cold Brew coffee blend;
Hausbrandt Award, awarded to Elisabetta Zanette from San Donà di Piave for the best use of coffee;
Matilde Vicenzi Award, awarded to Patricia Guerra, chosen in the ‘original recipe’ category;
Strega Award, awarded to Mario De Santis for the best use of Strega liqueur in the creative recipe;
BeautyDrop Treviso Beauty Award, assigned for the most beautiful Tiramisù to Cielo Fitipaldi from Montevideo (Uruguay) for the original recipe and Fabio Dall’Acqua from Conegliano for the creative recipe
Moralberti Award, assigned to Fabio Dall’Acqua for the most innovative creative Tiramisù.
